Fumez 42 is one of those breeding projects that reminds us why we do what we do. After years of working with Californian genetics, we wanted to create something beyond the loudest possible terpene profile. Something deeper, smoother, and more refined.
The project started with our long-term selection of Lemon Cherry Gelato, using a carefully chosen clone as the pollen donor and crossing it with our own selected Candy Fumez, a line we had previously worked with in the development of Z42. The result exceeded our expectations. Fumez 42 delivers an exceptionally deep and layered terpene profile, combining sweet and sour fruit notes with spiced cookies and a smooth, gassy finish. What makes it special isn't just the intensity, but the balance.
Nothing overwhelms the senses. The aroma develops naturally, revealing new layers while remaining smooth and approachable. It's exactly the kind of modern Californian profile we wanted to create: rich, complex, and enjoyable every day. On the plant side, Fumez 42 develops a balanced hybrid structure with well-spaced internodes and impressive flower production. Large, dense, deep-green buds are covered in a thick layer of trichomes, delivering excellent yield potential.
The plant responds particularly well to topping and canopy management, producing multiple heavy main flowers. Its dense buds benefit from stable temperatures, good airflow, and careful humidity control, especially during the final stages of flowering. We've worked with many exceptional genetics over the years, but some crosses stand out immediately. Fumez 42 brings together years of selection, two carefully chosen parental lines, and a terpene expression that feels genuinely different. Deep, smooth, complex, and unmistakably Californian. For us, this is one of the strongest candidates for our next breeding champion.
